250°
Participative project, carried out in collaboration with the youth club ‘Kramixxo and Waggong’, based in Weimar

250° is a workshop concept, developed in collaboration with a local youth club in Weimar, Kramixxo & Waggong.
Together with the young people, 10 of those seats were bent, assembled and individualised in a three-day workshop.
Combined with the matching fire pit, the artifacts encourage sitting together, socialising and, above all, cooking together. The project aims to promote self-empowerment and to enable participation.

Using a modified bending rig, all 40 legs were bent by the members of the youth club. The legs were kindly provided and laser-cut by ZI-Jena.

After Bending, the legs were individualised by the children. Spraycans were kindly provided by Molotow®.
Beforehand, all metal parts were coated in Brantho-Corrux paint, kindly provided by Branth-Chemie®.

Assembly was done in a breese, holes were drilled into thick plywood, coated with linoleum provided by forbo®.
All parts connect with screws, 3D-Printed feet protect the legs from sinking into soft grounds.

As soon as all parts were finished, the party could finally begin.
Also supported by the Chair of Management and Design at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, the ‘Freundeskreis der Bauhaus-Weimar’ and the Rotary Club Weimar Bauhaus, an in-theme-barbecue was designed and manufactured to conclude the concept and to get people together in celebration.
